INNER-CHILD “FOOD FOR THOUGHT” Pages #9-16 2nd Week EMOTIONS, CRAVINGS, HERBS & ORGANS 28 DAY GOAL TIME MANAGEMENT FOR CHANGE Vibrational cycles can explain real life challenges. Use of a 28 day monthly calendar is an effective tool for improving time management, journaling, using skills & creating healthy habits. Provides focus for plans of re-directing energy.
In traditional societies mothers have been guarded and watched over more carefully. Her needs taken care of by her own mother, aunties, grandmothers, and the cousins all making sure she had enough to eat and the right types of foods to eat was part of the culture. However in our modern communities & lifestyles there may be no extended family or supportive relationships to assist with the cost of living and the time it takes to care for other small children or older dependent family members.
So the pregnant women's well-being is compromised, until she learns that the best way to deal with stress is identifying where stress comes from, then learning about how to manage mentally from the inside. Not to try to be a "Super Woman" instead realizing that self-care is so important, especially now during pregnancy. She has to decide that some things will get done, and some things will not get done, until a later time, or when help is available.
Most importantly mother should study her food choices and know what's good to eat and when. This is where knowledge and healthy nutritional awareness can improve upon a mother's mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical state and conditioning. Proper nutrition can reduce the risk of known medical complications associated with nutritional deficiencies that can occur during pregnancy or childbirth.
Each month this lesson package highlights a particular vitamin or mineral and the foods to find them in.
WEEK 3 TRANSFORM:
MUSIC THERAPY & MEDITATION
LIFE PURPOSE “HEALTH & HARMONY” Pages #17-24 3rd Week LIFE-STYLE IMPROVEMENTS. Tapping into impulses that direct human drives/emotions, affecting moods, feelings of stress, depression, metabolism,& libido. Recognizing my attributes and potentials for opening channels for wealth increases confidence and self-discipline. Manage stress and/or anger with universal principles. Overcome challenges by making decisions for better health & career opportunities.
The pregnant woman can learn to use relaxation and meditation as keys to reduce feelings of stress. An important factor of relaxation is to not react negatively to stressful situations. Depending on the type of environment and the position one works in, this may be challenging, but not impossible. Using the mind power to detach from stress. Mothers can use a series of simple releasing techniques by thinking of 5 things that are different from you and that person, or you and that situation dealing with that person. These releasing steps are done with music and rhtymic breathing. It can be very calming and empowering for working through pregnancy and a labor stalled by negative thoughts.

- [_] Chanting traditional sounds
- [_] Writing down positive affirmations and reciting them
- [_] Thinking the thoughts of confidence raising one's vibrations that makes you "feel good"
Doing the above one at a time, or in some form of combination, while listening to pleasant music, are all tools that many find beneficial in bringing one to a deeper meditative state.
THE BENEFITS OF MEDITATION

- [_] Choose a time and a place to meditate 2-3 times a day. Some find that meditating after a morning ritiual or before household activities begin works best. Meditation during the afternoon helps to break up the day. Another good time to meditate is in the evening after everything else is done, helps aid a restful sleep.

DESTINY BY DESIGN RELATIONSHIPS Pages#25-36 4thWk STEPPING INTO POWER VISION BOARD:MEDITATION CLEARING THE CLUTTER: RAISING VIBRATIONS Opening the Inner vision to invoke intuitive guidance encouraging the releasing of memories and emotions locked inside the mind/body: Past, Present, Future. Create harmonious environments in the home, office, or school with nature. Identify tools that reinforce conflict resolution for positive behavior change within relationships: parent/child, friendships, business partnerships, romantic heart-engagements & community networks.
- [_] Create a schedule on a calendar to maintain at home and work that includes self-care. This is not selfish. Mothers need time for themselves to regenerate, to reboot, to recuperate in order to handle the demands faced with on a daily basis.
- [_] Include activities that you look forward to doing each day. Something that keeps you motivated, excited, feels good, is satisfying, and/or brings about a feeling of accomplishment.
- [_] Make a list of family or close friends and their skills that may be of benefit to you. The list should include their contact information so that you can call on them to assist you with activities that require their expertise and/or presence with their support or company.
ATTENDING LOCAL CHILDBIRTH EDUCATION EARLY PARENTING CLASSES
In your local areas are Childbirth Education Classes, often taught by Doulas and/or Midwives. Pregnant mothers are encouraged to enroll in Pre-Birth Parenting classes as soon as she becomes pregnant. Enrolling in a childbirth education class prior to the last 6 weeks of pregnancy is very beneficial. Classes offer several preparation topics as it relates to issues that come up with pregnancy, birthing, and early parenting. Classes can help prepare parents to lessen the early stresses of parenting a newborn. Going to classes also allows mothers to meet other women with similar interests and a chance to bond with someone who will be understanding. Attending groups each week are ways to study these Pocket Lessons with others and widen the circles of support with women taking pregnancy and parenting to a higher level. This is what mothers need in the community while raising children.

In the last 5 decades more women are working outside of their homes. In recent years women have held high power positions in their fields of work, with numerous responsibilities. Being strong, independent, & reliable are looked at as assets in a growing business, as a member of an athletic team, as a buyer for goods and services, as a researcher for a law firm, as a teacher at a daycare, as a student studying for a degree, or for a G.E.D. test or even as an established medical doctor trying to find the right cure for a patient. However when becoming pregnant the woman in these demanding jobs or the requirements of being a student tend to experience tension, stress, & strain associated with the workforce and demands of study. Staying on the job, or remaining enrolled in an educational program that is stressful has undesirable effects on pregnancy and trying to manage how one truly feels inside.
One thing for sure, is that listening to all of the friends, co-workers, and strangers at the store; who by the way, didn't have the assistance of a Doula and quite possibly worked up to the last week before labor, love to share their unsolicited experiences of childbirth. This can most certainly add a degree of anxiety, stress, and fear.
The stress felt by women during pregnancy has been a contributing factor to labor and birth being longer and more difficult, according to scientific studies. Because of this, today it seems more women are increasingly fearful of childbirth associating and expecting the difficulties with the function of having a baby. Generally it’s the pressures of work as the root cause. And Ideally mothers should not be working in positions during pregnancy that cause stress. And often mothers who are able to work at home, are just as stressed, if they are not receiving the necessary support to help them shoulder their duties and responsibilites as a housewife or a single parent.
